Dear Dr. Rynne, For Some Weeks Now I Have Had

Dear Dr. Rynne,
For some weeks now I have had a distinct pain in my left "Sitzbone", the buttock bone one sits on. I can't tell if it comes from a joint or the bone itself that presses on the chair seat. Lately, I am also beginning to feel it somewhat when I am standing up and bend forward. Yes, I do sit a lot for work at the computer, but only on upholstered/cushioned chairs. What can that discomfort possibly be due to?
FYI, I do have some arthritis but mostly in hands and feet, i.e. fingers and toes.
I would appreciate a hint as to what could be causing this pesky discomfort.
Sincerely, Ro Pinto
