General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what your son had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be fat deposits, etc on the sclera, however, better to be reviewed by an ophthalmologist.

Detailed slit lamp examination and visual acuity as well as fundoscopy is recommended. Local tear film drops may be helpful. Vitamin A deficiencies should also be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
