D&C Done Due To Heavy Bleeding, Endometrial Lining Very Thick. No Periods Since Then. Why?

I am 59 yrs old and haven't had any bleeding in a couple of years. I had to have a D & C a couple of years ago because I was bleeding severly. After the surgery I have had no bleeding whatsoever until just yesterday. It isn't excesive but it is worrying me. I am also having cramps like a period. I haven't really had a period in several years just the severe bleeding for about a year which wasn't regular like a period. Sometimes I would bleed for a month at a time changing pads every 10 min. or so. That was with wearing 2 thick overnight pads by the way. When I had the D & C it was because the endometrial lining was extremely thick. Like I said nothing for like 2 or 3 yrs now and then bam out of the blue! What could this mean?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
Mam ! it is good to know that you are expecting your menses, but chances are very very minimal, even if see some bleeding please do not considered it as normal you need to see the doctor for confirmation, because it is time for manepause now you may not be having period any more, if you have done D&C for the same purpose then you made a mistake, you have to accept the truth of manepause, but need not worry it is next session of your life and can be colorful, have nice day.
