Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I m spitting up blood , not just art alcohol, intake. Usually if I rinse my mouth, I can produce some blood for 6-8 rinses and then it stops. I ve had an ENT specialist scope and CT me and everything is normal. I don t cough it up so I don t believe it s lung related. My only other assumptions is GI related and have asked my GP several times to refer me for a scope. Could this be an ulcer or something more serious?
I share your concerns. In my opinion the cause of your bleeding is in your mouth only. Because you spit blood on rinsing mouth. It is unlikely to be related to lungs, because blood from lung come with the cough. It is unlikely to be related to stomach because blood from stomach will come with the vomiting.
I would advise you to go for a re examination by ENT specialist. I would advise you to get an opinion of dentist too. If both comes normal, then you can think of going for endoscopy of your stomach.
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us or me for more queries. I wish you good health. Kindly provide a feedback on this reply. Thanks
