Could Vomiting, POTS, Irregular Periods, Eye And Dental Problems Be All Related?
My 19 yr old daughter has had cyclic vomiting since age 4. As teen she delevoped POTS. Her periods have become very irregular also. 2 weeks ago she had a bilateral retina detachment. She also had severe myopia & lattice degeneration of the retina. Had very dense cataract in right eye. She also had extensive orthodontal work due to small jaw & very crowded teeth. Do you think these symptoms are all related somehow? Also has mild scoliosis. Has seen neurologist, endocrinologist,cardiologist, & opthamologist. No one can seem to find cause for all these health issues.

Please ask your consultants neurologist and ophthalmologist to check for features of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which can be a rare association.
That can explain retinal detachment, eye symptoms and the problems with joints and muscles.
POTS itself is a very rare condition with a lot of variations in symptoms, so it will be a challenge for the doc too.
