Could Uncontrollable Chewing Mouth, Rotating Tongue And Eye Be Lingual And Facial Dyskinesia?

Dear Dr.
I had practice of chewing mouth and rotating tongue due to some infectious teeth. After wards this practice is not controllable and spread over nose and eye. I consulted psychiatrist, she opined that this habit is called as Tics. I further consulted Neuro physician. He told that this is lingual & facial Dyskinesia. He prescribed Medicine Lonazep for 30 days. Now i just slightly control this habit. Kindly advise which is the correct disease I am facing and which medicine is suitable for this kind of disease.

Understanding your concern.

The symptoms your mention in query are indication condition called tics as you also mention in query .

First of all keep yourself stress free , because stress can have synergistic effect n this condition.

The drugs like fluphenazine or haloperidol which are neurotransmitter are very helpful for this condition . As your doctor to consider these drugs . These drugs are also called dopamine .

There is therapy called Cognitive behavioral therapy which is also effective way to get rid of this condition.

If your are taking any medicine other then lonazep presently discuss it with your doctor , because certain medicine can also cause this condition.
