Could This Eosinophil Absolute Count Be A Matter Of Concern?

BLOOD WORK READING ON EOS(ABSOLTE) WAS 0.09 K/MCL. Past history of Malt Lymphoma. Diabetics in family and Hemoglobin A1c running around 6.2%-6.9% Family doctor said everything looks fine? I am concerned and think an appointment might need to be made with a specialist in Diabetics and maybe revisit with past oncologist.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your HbA1c is a bit elevated which is an indication of diabetes and shows elevated sugar levels. The elevated absolute eosinophils count is an indicator of allergy.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
