Could The Severe Pain In The Upper Thigh Be Due To Possible Muscle Sprain?

Sacral fusion done threw naval done 7 days ago; saw m.d. tues d/t severe upper inner thigh/groin L sided pain... possible muscle strain or blood from surg. Procedure was stated by m.d.; 2day non-pitting edema and lt red discoloration noted to all of L leg also w dark urine and taking in 64 oz.non-caffienated fluids...having Hct drawn tomorrow..should I be concerned w thrombi? 28 year old male w hyperlipidemia which is being treated..no other dx..
