Could Sensitive And Painful Tongue Be Due To Intake Of Antibiotics?

I am a 17 year old male. I just went to the doctors Friday because I had a sore throat and fever and a vommited once. The doctor prescribed me Amoxicillin and it has been 2 days and I still don't feel any better. The thing is my gums have become swollen and it hurts to eat. My tounge is very sensitive and hurts if I rub it on a tooth or food. Could this be cause by the antibiotic? It only started after had been sick.
