Could Red, Swollen Skin In Inner Thigh With Small Cuts Like Razor Burn And Tight Skin Be Due To Cold Weather?
On both of my inner thighs abuve the knee but below the groin They are red and a little swollen Feels and looks like a bad sun burn but I know its not. They have felt this way for about 1 week. Now I see small cuts like a razor burn But I havent shaved there. My skin feels very tight and it kinda feels like the shin shrank . The weather here has been very cold. Can this have anything to do with it, It does not itch.and covers both whole inner theight. My legs dont rub together. I am 47 yrs. old and not sexually active.
Hello, Thanks for the query, You might have developed fungal infection. Your description matches with that. Usually fungal infections are itchy and recurrent. Please get a KOH mount done, This can confirm the fungal etiology. Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals. Treatment must be continued for at least a month to prevent recurrance. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis. Let me know if you have any other doubt. you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link. http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-rahul-kumar/64818 Wishing you a good health.
