Could Popping Up Of Veins In Left Leg, Forearams And Biceps Indicate Blood Clots?

In the last 2 weeks the veins in my left leg are popped up but my right is fine. Also I just had the veins in my forearms and hands stand up like I had rubber bands around both of my biceps and was about to give blood. They both felt like they were asleep but was walking around when it suddenly happened. I m 43 and just wondering what is going on and am I in any danger of blood clots or major circulatory problems.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The dilated veins over leg, forearm and biceps do indicate various possible issues such as:
- Physiological changes post exercise or stress
- Circulatory disturbances as high blood pressure
- Proximal part compression related
- Others

There does not seem to part of possible blood clots in this regard as majority of the cases do not present with popping of blood vessels.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
