Could Past History Of Drug Use Affect Future Pregnancy?
Hi doctor, I had a quick question. Does a history/past use of methamphetamine affect future pregnancy, or have any effects on an offspring? The partner I m with has been off the stuff for about 5 years now, and hasn t touched it since... but I just wanted to be on the safe side and wanted to find out if it will lead to any defects in a child. hello user , i understand your concern but if the information provided is correct you need not to worry as it is unlikely to have birth defects in a child , with past history of drug use in father/mother . however if there is a history of any past injectable drug abuse, risky sexual behaviors also , he should undergo a test for hiv and hepatitis , and if there is no such history you need not worry , have a happy parenthood !! if satisfied please rate the answer , any further queries are welcome
