Hello,

You are diagnosed with arthritis and have pain in ankle and knee. Presently you are experiencing pain in the hip and walking causes pain. You should get a repeat test done to confirm arthritis. Get a follow up clinical examination done, get anti-CCP, CRP, ESR, ANA, X-ray done to detect the pathology and get treatment started. Since you are getting hip pain radiating to the legs it can be sciatica. Get clinically examined. Get treated.

Take NSAIDS, naproxen, one SOS when required. Get connected to a Physical therapist, do regular exercises under him. Heat therapy is effective to reduce any joint swelling or inflammation. Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid sugar and carbohydrate intake, alcohol, processed food, food high in salt, gluten containing food, etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
