Could Pain In Left Leg Be Due To Thrombosis Of Leg?

I have hot flushes in the back of my left leg every now and then. I am 57 years of age. Unfortunately quite overweight by a few stone, so i know i need to loose weight. is this anything to worry about - could it be a thrombosis in my leg? Thank you. Deb

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in the left leg at your age can be due to muscle cramps or osteoporosis. In case it is associated with thrombosis then it is associated with extreme pain and swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
