Could Lumbar Disc Herniations Be Causing Frequent Panic Attacks?

hi, I need to know if it is possible for lumbar disc herniations/stenosis/degenerative disc disease can cause frequent panic attacks? I had a hemilaminectomy about 8 mnths ago on my right side, and my left side is also herniated really bad, over the these last 8 mnths i have been getting more panic attacks than usual, i have been diagnosed with a panic disorder and am on meds to help control it, but latley nothing seems to help and they keep occuring, so i was curious if disc herniations could be the cause of these more frequent attacks? please help, i am getting a little freaked out :(

HI
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Panic disorder/attack is a psychological disorder and it could not possible due to lumbar disc herniations/stenosis/degenerative disc disease. If you are tense due to any physical condition, in that case, it could lead to panic attacks. That may be the reason in your case. Better to consult a psychiatrist for proper mental status evaluation and get proper treatment. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
