Could Lighter Periods, Cramps And Negative Pregnancy Tests Be Still Due To Pregnancy?

I recently thought I was pregnant and I took a hpt 5 days before my period and it was negative. My period was a day late and when it started I was having unbearable cramps it has now been 3 days and I am still bleeding but it s very light and I still have cramps but they aren t as bad as before. My period is usually heavy by now and filling a tampon but it isn t. Could I be pregnant?

Hi,
Actually, hpt takes about 8 days delayed periods for being reliable. You had done it 5 days prior to periods& it was -ve.
You should have done blood HCG test ,which is +ve around periods. In case of doubt, it still can be done & you will have a confirmed result.
The weak periods you have may be due to-
- early nonviable pregnancy,
- bloated ovum,
- tubal pregnancy.
For time being,you should take rest for time being.Don't foment/massage abdomen for pain. Take a pain killer pill if needed.
In case,you don't get normal bleeding till 4th day/bleeding does not stop/ you have unbearable pan,I would advice you to consult a Gynecologist for pain
pointing the cause & get it treated
