Could Light, Early Periods With Clots, Back Pain And Cramps Indicate Miscarriage?

Hi I am having what seems to be a miscarriage but I went to the hospital yesterday and the nurse said she tested my urine sample with a pregnacy test and it came out negative. She took another one and got the same result. I had a miscarriage last year and I had back pain, abdominal pain, and heavy bleeding. I went to the hospital and they confirmed I was having a miscarriage. This time it started with very light bleeding and then some back pain and cramping. I dont think it is my period because my periods always start out heavy and with severe cramping. Plus it is a week early. About two weeks ago I took and emergency contraceptive pill so I was wondering if maybe that pill made my cycle come earlier. But if this is a period it is very unsual because I have been having blood clots and have been almost soaking through more than one pad in 4 hours. I had a few cramps the first three days but havent had any recently. Just sudden quick headaches. Also usually my cycle is slowed down by now. The bleeding started on Tuesday evening and it is now Sunday evening. The blood is still bright red and usually it would be dark colored by now. Thank u for ur time

Hello,

Light bleeding and then some back pain and cramping and you just get emergency contraceptive pill two weeks before that, I supposed you have an abnormal vaginal bleeding from emergency contraceptive pill. Because you did pregnancy test two times now still negative.

The side effect of emergency contraceptive is cause abnormal vaginal bleeding. But if it heavy and long period and make you weak you can see a doctor to control your bleeding. If you feel find now, you can just wait and see. Non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs can help your pain but make sure you do not have gastritis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
