Could Excruciating Pain In Arm And Spine Be Due To Pinched Nerve?

please help, my fiance was at the ER Tuesday for extreme pain caused by a pinched nerve. Thursday he had a CT, he was still in so much pain we went back to the ER after the CT, The Dr. confirmed that there was a problem at C5-C6 and he said it was very bad, we are still waiting to hear from a neurologist. In the mean time his pain is excruciating 4 mg of Hydromorphone hardly touches it and he is now hardly able to move his left arm, the pain in the arm is unbeleivable....what should we do ? f

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, right now the only option you have is to manage the pain till something comes ahead in form of final diagnosis, if this is the degenerative disease of cervical spine so it may be surgical condition and in such case you have to follow the neurological advise, in absence of diagnosis this much could be said, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
