Could Enlarged Prostate Cause Pain In Waist Radiating Towards Ankles?

I have been experiencing intermittent pains on my body, from the waist through the buttocks and sometimes down to the thighs to the ankles on both right and left side of the body. My doctor has told me that I have enlarged prostate. I am 68 years old. Could the enlarged prostate cause the pains?

Hi men with enlarged prostate are prone for stones in the kidney and bladder due to retention or concentrated urine in bladder. They may be the cause for you having pain in the back and sides and thighs. You need to discuss this with your treating doctor so that it can be confirmed by radiology. Treatment options can be decided based on that.
