Could Delay In Period Indicate Pregnancy?

Hi i am 25 years oldave overian cysts n irragular periods my doctor suggested me diane 35 n i have take them 3 days after my periods stopped..now i have the all tabs but not having my periods.i was having abdominal bain n breast pain while having these tablets.. i should wait for one week or ho n have pregnancy test

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Usually Diane 35 is started on 1st day of menstrual cycle. It provides contraceptive effect only after 7 continuous active pills. So if you have started it on 1st day of periods then it will be effective contraceptive only from day 8 of the cycle. During this 7 days you have to use barrier contraceptive methods like condom.
After last tablet of the pack bleeding starts 2-3 days later. If you have taken it on 3rd after stopping of periods and not having period after more than 3 days of last pill then you are likely to have pregnancy. So I advice you to have urinary pregnancy test by using UPT kits available in the market.
