Could Bright Red, Very Short Periods With Uterus Feeling Like Having Ball In It Indicate Huge Clot?

I am 37 and overweight. my period started a bright red less than 24 hours ago and has suddenly almost stopped. Now there is just a light pink when wiping. No tampon needed. My uterus feels like I have a tennis ball in it and sitting is even uncomfortable. Could I just have a huge clot that is acting as a barrier, or is there something more serious that could be happening?
