Hello and Welcome to healthcare magic forum!

Cramps in the abdomen with mild bleeding or even no bleeding before the twentieth week of pregnancy is a sign of a potential miscarriage.

During actual miscarriage pregnant women usually experience dull to sharp pain in the lower back and abdomen with clots passing through vaginal bleeding.
Tests done to diagnose threatened abortion are pelvic examination, fetal ultrasound and blood tests.

In your case even it was just threatened but not actual miscarriage so your doctor might have advised you bed rest and reduced physical activity and taken measures to save your baby, so you can be free from your anxiety and concentrate more on taking care of maintaining a healthy pregnancy by:
1. Avoiding caffeinated drinks

2. Avoiding exposure to toxic chemicals and cleaning solutions.

3. Have nutritious food like variety of fruits and veggies, more protein like meat, boiled eggs, milk.

4. Cottage cheese, yogurt, fish and boiled or baked potatoes are good source of iodine which help in development of the babies nervous system.

5. you will need at least 27 mg of iron and folic acid so take the supplement your doctor gives you and ensure that you consume spinach, or any dark green leafy vegetables, beans and cereals which are rich in iron and folic acid

6. Fruits such as oranges, pineapples and strawberries are good source of vitamin C. which is required by your body in 70 mg per day

7. Overall you need a happy and tension free mind so try practicing deep breathing n meditation which will relax your mind and refresh your health
