Could Remicade Or Hydrocodone Cause Severe Bodily Itching And Joints Pain?

I had my regular Remicade IV injection last zthursday. That evening, I was more tired and achy than usual, so I took a hydrocodene to relieve pain and help me sleep. Although I have a hydro Odeon prescription, I hadn t taken one in about six weeks. I was awake and wired all night, and all day Fridau. I also had itching, generally all over my body. Tonight, I m having severe itching on my legs and hands/arms. The joint pain I had Thursday night was extreme, and was everywhere. Could Remicade cause all of this? Or the hydrocodeine? Thanks!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may be due to an allergic reaction.

As the first line of management, you can take antihistamines like Pheniramine for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
