I am a 67 yo male. Recently started taking metoprolol 25 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg for high blood pressure. I started taking this 6 weeks ago with no side effects. 2 days ago i had a sweaty dizzy spell a d today another one at about the same time of day. I went to hospital, had blood work, ct scan of brain and ekg, all were negative. Is this medicine related?

Hi,

I would advise you to monitor your blood pressure,if there are blood pressure drops it can cause such symptoms.
If no, I would advise you to undergo duplex ultrasound of extracranial arteries (a carotis, a vertebralis), if there are blockage and narrowing, it also can cause such symptoms.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
