Clot Behind Knee. Surgery Cancelled. Should I Meet Another Doctor? Suggestions?

My daughter just turned 40. She has 4 sons and has bad veins. She was scheduled for surgery yesterday and the doctor's office called and cancelled due to an emergency. She had the test done last week and the technician told her that there is definitely a clot behind her knee. I am concerned about that clot and the fact that her doctor has cancelled her surgery. She has had the runaround; at her first appointment she had to reschedule due to the doctor being delayed; second appt. his office called to cancel and so on and now he cancelled the surgery as she was ready to leave for the hospital. She doesn't want to be put under; just a local but he wants to put her out. What do you suggest? Maybe find another doctor?

Clot behind knee could be due to bleeding disorder or haematoma formation due to injury. Proper workout is required to rule out bleeding disorder. This might be the reason of cancellation of surgery at present. There is no harm to take second opinion , you can go for it.
