my 3 year old son has bleeding disorder, called vonwillabrandt, in the past month there has been some bright blood showing up in his stool, 2 days ago the amount of blood has increased conciderably and he has also had a temperature for 2 days. What could be causing this...

the most common sign of this disorder is abnormal bleeding which includes excessive bleeding from an injury, nosebleeds, blood in urine or stools and easy bruising
this is due to abnormal gene that controls von willebrand factor which is a protein that plays a key role in blood clotting
