Clitoris Tear After Childbirth. Will Clitoris Be Permanently Ruined?

Recently i just had a baby vaginally . I had a 2nd degree tore and one place that stuck out the most to me where i tore is my clitoris. I have stiches i dont know how many exactly but im worried that it will never look the same . I never had stiches before nor do i understand exactly what they do or how they work. But will my clitoris be permitally ruined ?

Hi,
Its rare for the clitoris to be damaged during vaginal delivery. But if that is the case, the stiches will help repair the damage. Normally absorbable sutures are used and they get dissolved on their own. Clitoris mainly consists of nerves and they regenerate on its own. You need not be worried. It will heal on its own. But its better to avoid intercourse for at least 2 months.
