Child On Synthroid For Goiter. Has Bad Odor From Armpit And Body. Treatment?
My 13 year daughter has been on Synthroid 50mcgm o.5mg for almost 3 years now due to a goiter that was in her neck. The physician does blood at least twice a year. The past 6 months are longer her armpit older and body odor is unbearable. She can get out of the shower and within a few minutes I can smell her underarms. She is very clean and I can walk in the sweat bathroom and smell her ordor. I really haven't smelt any thing like it . I have tried all the clinical deodorants and now she is at the point that she say she doesn't smell anything. Plus she want even be sweating when this is going on. Please help me.

mormally synthrois doent have a side effect like this.
normally bad odour is because when the germ decompose the dirt present on the sweaty areas.but as you said she keeps her self clean so we can rule out this.
it might be something else.
you can try seeing a dermatologist.as a physical examination is necessary.
