Child Have Boils In The Leg. Have Been Prescribes Antibiotics. How Long Will It Take To Recover?

Hi. My 3 year old son went to clinic yesterday & was diagnosed with a boil on his leg & prescribed antibiotics. So far he has received 2 doses (5ml, 4 times daily), & I put warm compress twice. His leg is still very swollen. How long should it take to see improvements with meds? How soon do I take him to hospital to have it drained? There has been no pus that came out so far...& it doesn't seem to be filled with pus yet, in order to have it drained??? Thank you

Hi,
If there is no pus and only induration, there are all chances of absorption of boil and he will be alright within 2-3 days.
If pus formation took place, then pus is to be removed by your doctor.
Now as just 2 doses of antibiotic is taken, wait for 2 days more to expect result.
Ok and take care.
