Child Fainted While Standing Up, Throwing Up After Waking. Ate Pretzels, Sucked Ice. What Is Happening?
Hi, My seven year old daughter fainted while standing up. She fell and was unconscious for about forty five seconds. Woke up scared and about ten minutes later began throwing up. She did this for about 1:30 hr. she then fell asleep for and hour or so-- ate pretzels and sucked ice. About an hour after waking up she was back to normal.
This has happened when she was six-- while sitting her arms could not move. She went pale and walked upstairs to tell me she felt sick. He was pale and then collapsed to the floor. Out for about same time. She then went to bed and slept for an hour.
Hello, Thanks for writing to HCM, I have read your question, Without practical examination I cannot infer what exactly is the problem, I think that your child is suffering from a neurological problem or anaemia symptoms illustrated above are usually shown by patients suffering from such problems. Usually these problems are completely curable and the as the child grows up the symptoms may go down.
I suggest you to take your child to nearest general physician first , and after all the tests if anaemia is ruled out take your child to a nearest neurologist.
Wishing your child a good health, Dr.K Sanga Reddy
