Cardiologist 's  Response
A pain which does not come up on exertion/ exercise/ using stairs/ carrying weight/ lasts for less than a minute/ can be localized with finger/can be elicited with touch or comes up with deep breath, is less likely to be anginal pain.
A pain which is in mid chest and comes always on exertion and relieves by rest is likely to be anginal or cardiac or heart pain.
An ECG may be normal, even if there is a cardiac problem. More important is your history. Does it favors angina or not? Since your doctor must have evaluated all this and has reassured you, so relax.
Feel free to write if there is anything else.
Sincerely
sukhvinder singh

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Your pain s not typical of ischemia
You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, risk factors...which could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome...
TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG / may be with thallium isotope) is necessary to evaluate ischemia (reduced blood flow / Coronary Artery Disease) or for reassurance.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
