Chest Pains Centered Around Heart.
Every so often, I ll be relaxed laying down in bed when I m struck with horrible pains in my chest . Its on my left side, near what feels to be where my heart is. It feels like there s a knife stabbing me straight in the heart and it s just twisting. It only lasts about a minute or less, but tonight it just kept coming one after the other with about a minute or two in between each pain.

i know the feeling! it will come and go as it pleases and sometimes it will stick around and hurt when i breathe in. but it will hurt any where in my chest. i dont think they are mini heart attacks or anything like that tho.

If you have sharp pain associated with breathing it may be due pericarditis, but seeing your complains it is unlikely to be due to pericarditis but may be somatic pain arising from rib may be due to costocondritis, for further evaluation and treatment consult your physician

Hello.Welcome.You are having muscular pain in your chest.Simple logic says why you should feel relieved on lying down.A heart pain will keep on occurring inspite of your posture and there should be some associated problems like sweating,palpitations,feeling low etc.You have gradually developed cardiac neurosis.relax and consult a cardiologist for your mental satisfaction and well being.Good luck.
