Chances Of Pregnancy Having Unprotected Sex Before The Day Of Periods?

Hi I had unprotected sex a day before my period and I took postinor2 10hours after and the second tablet 13hours after, my period is now 5 days late I started spotting lightly earlier today which is the 5th day but it is almost gone now. Could I be pregnant?

Hello,
You are completely protected just before the onset of a period as your ovulation falls two weeks prior to the onset of the period and therefore, you are totally safe. As such, you did not need the emergency pill. Since you have taken the pill, your period is bound to be late due to the hormone imbalance thus created. You can expect a withdrawal bleed about a week to ten days after the pill intake and if you do not see your next period even after two weeks, please contact a specialist for further help.
