Can Withdrawal From Smoking Lead To Chest Infection?

about 2 months ago i got sick with a chest infection. now the cough has gone but my chest is soo sore. breathing hurts and i constantly feel someone is sitting on my chest. am a smoker but have almost quit entirely. my doctor said it sounds like a respitory virus and that only rest can help

no smoking withdrawal can never lead to chest infection. but yes if due to smoking , you may have developed lower respiratory tract infection then it can lead to chest infection. so kindly visit a pulmonary med doctor and get a chest xray done
