Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, A couple of years ago I was stung by a wasp or bee. Sevaeral hours later I had severe abdominal pain and was taken to hospital where I had my appendics removed. Although they discovered they were actually fine but I had swollen lymph nodes. I didnt at the time think but having researched it, I am starting to suspect it may have been a reaction to the sting. What are the chances of another reaction to a sting as I have a wasps nest in my garden. I dont fancy having any more organs removed lol. Thanks
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given I could say because of the wasp sting the surrounding area of the sting can be swelled with lymph node but not in the abdominal cavity, if there is lymph node with appendicitis then this could be due to infection and not because of wasp sting, take care and have a nice day.
