Can Triamt/hctzz Cause Pain In Thighs And Elbows?

I am taking triamt/hctzz 37.5 mg once per day. I have been taking for about 6 weeks and today my thighs and elbows started hurting. Could this be a side effect from the medicine. Would I just be getting side effects after taking the medicine for 6 weeks.

Hi and thanks for this query.

This is not a common side effect of these medications. Also, for this to happen for the very first time after 6weeks would be very unlikely. I will suggest you try some pain medications like tylenol and ibuprofen. Should these symptoms persist, I will recommend that you get evaluated by your treating physician for the possible cause and treat accordingly.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification should need be. Thanks for using our services.
