can thyroid problems make yor throat close up?i feel like something is wedged in my throat keep trying to cough it up,went to doctors today as finding it very hard to eat,drink ect,iv put on 2 stone in 2months,they want me back this wednesday for bloods do not feel very good at all keep gasping for breath and carnt swallow very well its makeing me very panicky please help
1. Thyroid swelling - nodules in thyroid may press up on your air or food passage
2. Thyoiditis - a thyroid inflammation will swell your thyroid resulting in these symptoms
3. Stomach problems - gastritis is usually associated with reflux and lead to throat problems.
