Can Thyroid Cancer Re-occur After A Thyroid Removal Surgery?
I ve had thyroid cancer twice, took out the right side first then few years later, removed the left side all but a very small part that was attached to the limp node. I ve started having the same symptoms as before. What is the possibility of the cancer having returned. I also did the radioactive ablation a few months after the last surgery. c
Thyroid Cancer can recur even though if you had a radioactive ablation.
Since remnants of a tumor may remain dormant near the parathyroid glands which might have left during the surgery to get it tested if you feel tumor is growing again and gets it removed for your better health.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
