Can There Be A Possibility Of Someone Having Just One Fallopian Tube Without Any Prior Surgery For Removal?

Me and my boyfriend were trying to get pregnant and have a baby I went to the doctor and they did a check on my ovaries they were both there but they said I had some cysts on my ovaries 3 months later I got pregnant then 9 months after that I had a C-section when the doctors open to me up they said that I only had one fallopian tube and one ovary where did the other ones go what he told me it look like somebody had opened me up and took them out but I have never had any surgeries other than the one I had with my son he said there were severe Scar Tissue like somebody hate cut them out of me he has no clue what could have happened can you tell me what happened

Hi,

Yes, it's possible (though rarely) that one fallopian tube can be left undeveloped due to birth defects. In such case, ovary on that side may be normal and can carry cysts also. If it's so, find yourself lucky to have child birth. The thing can be diagnosed by a hysterosalpingogram, a radiological investigation.
