Can Taking Vitamin Supplements Help Treat Leg And Stomach Cramps?

Hi, I don t know where to even begin. okay, I have a underactive thyroid and I take levothyroxine 125 micr a ograms a day. I also am prescribed lasics 40mg a day b cuz I have high blood pressure sometimes, anyways , here is the deal, I don t ever drink any water b cuz I don t like it, I only drink iced tea, well now that I am thinking about it the symptoms that I am having has progressed over time. I started having leg cramps then I would get cramps in my feet, toes hands and fingers, then stomach cramps and then I couldn t go to the batroom, I was constipated and these things progressed over time ANYS, I THINK I AM DEHYDRATED AND MY POTASSIUM AND THINGS ARE LOW IN MY BODY. I STARTED DRINKING AS MUCH WATER AS I CAN A DAY AND I BOUGHT POTASSIUM SUPPLEMENT90MG AND STARTED TAKING THAT PLUS A MUTIPLE VITAMIN AND B-12 SUBLINGUAL AND MY LEG CRAMPS ARE STARTING TO GO AWAY NOW, MY QUESTION TO U IS, SHOULD I BE DOING ANYTHING ELSE AND OR TAKING ANY OTHER VITAMIN??????

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
In my opinion you should visit a ENDOCRINOLOGIST so that you can be assessed properly. As far as vitamin supplements are concerned, there is no as such contraindication to it. You can continue with it but it is important to get your TFTs so that dose of thyroxine can be adjusted accordingly.
Meanwhile stay calm and meet your doctor.
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
