Can Taking Lamictal 300 Mg With Ambien 10 Mg At Night Affect Sleep?

I take 300 milligrams of Lamictal at night and also wanted to know the interaction of Ambien 10 milligram because it is not allowing me to sleep good as it was prescribed for. The also said they would make me sleep very well. The only thing is I get 1-2hrs of poor quality sleep

Yes, it may cause harmful interactions. Taking Ambien while on Lamictal can increase side effects such as profound drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty in concentrating, thinking, and judgment. You should ask your doctor either to reduce the dose of the medications or to prescribed an alternate effective but a safer medication for get sleep.
