I am a 25 years old guy suffering from Amblyopia due to squint in my Left eye. Since it was not treated in childhood, my brain gradually learnt to ignore the images from the left eye and now my left eye is a lazy eye. My right eye is perfectly fine. At any time I am only using my right eye and I consider as I have no left eye.
But when I cover my right eye, I can specify the objects, differentiate between the colors but I can't specify the exact location of the object(I believe this is due to squint as the image is not properly formed in brain).
Here I would like to emphasize that my left is turned inwards, but to a very small extent. when I am tired, it becomes worse and my is fully turned inward.
I am considering a squint surgery option and want some guidance. What are the pros and cons of the surgery? And will there be any chance of improvement in amblyopic eye?
