Can Small Amount Of Blood In Ear, Be Due To Pushing Q Tip A Bit Deeper Than Normal?

When cleaning my ears with a q tip I noticed a small amount of crusty blood. I ve done nothing that would explain this such as very loud noise or hitting my head and no pain in my ear. The only thing I can think of is maybe I pushed the q tip a bit deeper than normal?

Hi and thanks for the query,
if the qtip injures either the canal wall or the drum it can result in bleeding.
Keep your ears dry and do not try to clean your ears. the injury will heal on its own.
in future do not use a qtip or any other thing to clean the insides of the ear. the insides of your ear do not require cleaning.
Regards,
dr rajkishori.
