Hello, i have gone through your query.

I have dealt with a lot of patients in my clinic who have undergone thyroidectomy and have given birth to normal babies. Only thing is that your serum TSH levels should be in the range of 0.5-1.5 micro IU/ml. And once you conceive, your thyroid functions have to be tested every 6 weeks in I trimester (early weeks of pregnancy).

If despite maintaining serum TSH levels in above mentioned range, she is not able to conceive, there can be some causes other than the thyroid problem. And these should be evaluated by the gynaecologist.

I hope I have answered your query.
Thanks and regards
