Can Rise In Puss Cells, Suggest Malignancy?

Hi Doctor, a year ago my father got his bladder tumor ( Malignant ) removed. He is ok now. His pus cells are plenty inspite of taking Meropenem injections and oral antibiotics. Scan showed no signs of regrowth. Does presence of plenty of pus cells indicate malignancy?. Just wanted to check if we are missing any thing here.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The presence of many pus cells in the absence of regrowth on scan shows uncontrolled underlying infection.

In our clinic, I recommend urine culture and precise management with plenty of liquids, control of blood sugar and other parameters.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
