Can Prostate Surgery Be Done While Having High Grade Fever?

Hello. I am concerned about my father-in-law who is 68 and has a large prostate the size of a cocoanut. He has an indwelling catheter since thus past Friday and is experiencing blood in urine and in his underwear. He has a fever at the highest of 102 taken today. He has sugary scheduled this Friday. Will be be able to have surgery since he has been running a fever. He went to see his doc yesterday and was given antibiotics for 7 days.

It will be better to wait until the fever settles. The anaesthetic complications and surgery related complications are high when there is fever.
