Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Prolonged Use Of Primolut Affect The Menstrual Cycle?
I was on primolut for 5 continuous months due to heavy bleeding. At the start of the fifth month I had a second myomectomy to remove fibroids. I stopped the primolut three weeks post surgery and got a period in four days. It s now 29 days since that period and I have not had a second period. I am a 26 day cycle. Can the prolonged use throw my cycle off or should I be worried about something else? I ve never missed a cycle except when on primolut. Thank you.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. I think there is some technical error about this because your brief question is about hepatitis C and your main question is about periods. I am answering your main question about periods. In my opinion, you are mostly having hormonal imbalance. So better to consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination and hormone levels to rule out hormonal imbalance. Yoi may need hormone pills to regulate your hormones. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
