Can Primrose Oil With Doxycycline Be Used For Perioral Dermatitis?

I am 45 years old. I came off the Diane 35 pill 18 months ago and am having problems with acne around my chin. Myndoctormsaid it is perioral dermatitis and has prescribed doxycycline. I have used antibiotics before for my skin and it always comes back after the treatment is finished. Woukd it be safe for someone my age to go back on Diane 35 or even try simething like Belara? Imalso have hypothyroid and am taking 75 mg of thyroid pill. Also can I take Evening Primrose Oil with Doxycycline?

There are no known interactions between doxycycline and evening primrose.

Prolonged course of doxycycline can be used to treat perioral dermatitis, topical treatment with metrogel can also be effective.

At your age, it would be best to avoid the oral contraception if it is not needed.
