Can Pilonidal Sinus Be Completely Cured Without Surgery? If Yes,advice.

am a 25 years old girl. I am having Pilonidal Sinus sine 15 days back. Before I didn t notice it considering that its may be skin infection due to long sitting or over sweating. but 10 days back I have consulted an Allopathic Dr.and he confirmed it as Pilinidal Sinus to clear my doubt i have also consulted PGI docotrs they told me the same thing and told to get it operated which is the only cure in Allopathy . But, I don t want to get it operated as there are chances of reoccurance .have studied up alot about pilonidal sinus while surfing on the net and came to know the complete & proper cure for this disease is possible without surgury ? please let me know ?

Hi,

I have gone through your query. Pilonidal sinus has only surgical treatment. As you have mentioned that it has high chances of recurrence. But after surgery it may recur at another site which is known as secondary Pilonidal sinus. Z- plasty has little higher chance of recurrence. That is why you may opt for grafting(almost nil recurrence) after consulting a surgeon.

Medical treatment given on other websites will not help you out.
