Can Peircing Frenulum Lead To Swelling In The Area Around It?
Hi, I got my tongue web (frenulum) pierced yesterday (its not the morning after) and my gland under my throat are extremely swollen and painful, even to just move my neck. Also I am unsure if the piercer pierced my glands in my mouth or if they are just irritated. The piercing sits above the swelling in my mouth and the piercing doesn't hurt. Only my throat does. Is this a bad sign? or will the swelling go down as the piercing heals? Thanks
hello it is likely that the piercing has got infected or it is blocking the duct of the gland and hence the swelling. i think you may have to remove it for the time being. please meet your ENT doctor for further advice . thanks
